Med Cru 2025 – Day 12 – Monemvasia, Greece

It’s all Greek to us! We’ve been waiting all week to say that:)

We were greeted to Greece with a beautiful sunrise today.

Today was another day when we had to tender to shore rather than dock. It is so fun to see the ship in the harbor away from shore.

Monemvasia is a medieval town carved in into rock on the shore. It is breathtaking.

For our tour today, we saw ruins that were built in a time when cranes and jackhammers weren’t invented yet. How these civilizations were able to construct churches, fortresses and monuments that withstand so many elements, amazes us. We feel honored to be able to walk paths that many before us have walked.

Fortress built high enough for occupants to see any enemies approaching from any direction.
Churches were always within the fortresses

After lots of climbing and walking, we enjoyed a nice meal before heading back to the ship to pack up for our next stop Athens!

See our ship in the middle of the frame?
Cafe made just for us!
Pizza or as the Greeks call it, Pinsa
Club Sandwich or as the Greeks call it, a Club Sandwich!

We enjoyed a nice evening in our Compass Rose

We sadly say goodbye to our Regent Navigator cruise tomorrow morning. We were treated like a king and a queen by Kadek, our steward who always made sure we had water and wine and chocolate on our pillows. Rachel and Umar who always took care of our dining needs.

We will see you again Regent!
