Realized we hadn’t touched on a few of our stops which each held some great memories.

Nice
Pretty city on the French Riviera. While we don’t have any photos on our phones to share, we enjoyed our two nights here. De touched the Mediterranean Sea and we found a Hard Rock Cafe for lunch where we were treated very kindly by the staff.
Monte Carlo
We took an evening to go to Monte Carlo for dinner and a quick stop at the casino. This is one of the most expensive places in the world to live and is it’s own country (Monaco). It is only one square mile but packed with very expensive property, including the Prince’s castle. We saw one sky scraper that had a penthouse for sale at the low low price of $500,000,000. That is not a typo.

St Paul de Vence and the rails
St Paul de Vence is a quaint little artist community up on a hill with a beautiful view. We spent more time searching for public bathrooms than anything else. Actually, we have recognized most of our sight seeing in Europe has been centered around our next bathroom break!
From Nice to Paris we got to experience a high speed train. What would have taken two days (14 hours) by bus took us 4.5 hours. We knew the details as we were at risk of having to take the coach as there was a planned strike on the train but luckily ours took place as planned. Pretty sweet getting to ride first class too!
