Europe 2019 – Notre Dame and the Louvre

We spent the day touring the many rooms of the Louvre. We saw Venice de Milo, the glass pyramids, and so much more. Considering the two hour wait to see the Mona Lisa and the fact that we had both seen it years ago, we bypassed that.

While we couldn’t go in or near it, we walked as close to the famous Notre Dame as we could. According to our guide, it has yet to be determined if they will be able to save this beautiful church. We marvel at the history and grandiose nature of the landmarks we have seen.

After another great day, we grabbed a bottle of wine, some cheese and bread and enjoyed a quiet night in our room.

This morning we will finish packing, go for a light neighborhood walk and head to the airport. We have had so much fun on our four country tour, we are anxious to be home with our comfy bed, controlled traffic and a normal schedule. Goodbye Europe. Thank you for great memories.
